fait accompli

Ha! When you have as many nail polishes as I there's bound to be the shade you desire. I found this - a delicious kit nail polish that goes by the name of switch on. Not only is it a gloriously gunmetalic grey - it's got sparkles and you know what makes me happier than sparkles? Not much! Please ignore my painted-over cuticles - I was in too much of a hurry to push them back and I'm never particular when I paint my nails - so long as the nails are covered I can just run my fingernail around the edges in the shower and any excess comes off.

So happy right now. A spot of colour therapy always puts me in a good mood. And as Sara Rose would agree - one of the quickest routes to a pick-me-up is purdy coloured nails...

  1. That's a great colour, but what a shame you missed out on a shopping trip!

  2. OPI makes a colour similar to that - but not as sparkly!
    Your nails look lovely.
    Reminds me to sort out my own...

  3. Sweetpea - I shan't be missing out - there's always another shade I'll be seeking... {I'm thinking pale lavender...}

  4. Oooh Megs, we must have been commenting at the same time! I saw the OPI shades on-line - pretty!

    And yes, can't believe you've neglected your nails - what have you been doing with your time... {How is that gorgeous wee babe of yours doing? xx}

  5. I don't do nails. Never had a pedicure in my life either.

  6. MM - I reckon you're commenting just for the word verifications... Not that I blame you - they're hysterical!

  7. A smile just swept across my face while reading your last comment re: the word verifications. I don't usually pay much attention to them but 'caked' popped up for me moments ago. I can only assume word verifications are computer generated!
    I'll be requesting a lovely shade of grey when I indulge in my next pedicure.
    Thanks again for the tip :)

  9. Metallic nail polish is so cool - I have silver, gold & copper colours. I agree about colour therapy. You've just reminded me that I should dig out my nail polish again, I haven't painted my nails in ages! Btw - how did the school reunion go?

  10. Really like this sparkly silver color. I suppose your "gun metal gray" description is right on too.
    I may be an old lady but I do like my toenails painted! And I sooooo love different colors. There is just something fun about changing the colors isn't there? I seldom paint my finger nails, but for this I might have to do it. I will be looking for this color now.

  11. Ohh I love the colour. You have very nicely shaped nails. Mine are all over the place so I keep them cut as short as possible. Thinking that despite my short nails, I could rock a nice dark colour though. Look a bit pathetic and emo.

  12. Short nails are the best Little Miss Moi - I keep mine short for netball but much prefer them that way. I think short nails suit darker colours too!
