This transeasonal weather has left my skin so dry, so parched, so damned dehydrated that I contemplated a milk-bath to quench its thirst. However, after finding this image of a women obviously murdered by her milk bath I decided on a shower and a rich slathering of moisturiser instead...
I just tried new Aveeno cream - OMG it's good. I've never had anything make my dry sensitive skin feel nourished. It's bloody cheap too. Very surprised, though milk bath it's not.
ReplyDeleteAll I could think of when I saw that was that it was milk gone off...like when you leave it too long in the cat's bowl. Shower and moisturiser...much better idea.
ReplyDeleteOh, Aveeno - yes, I've tried them in the past. Will hunt down - thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes Kerry, that's it. Not the refreshing, soothing image you're after. It is making me giggle though!
ReplyDeleteI love the bath but she does look dead or something. Maybe Kerry is right and it's gone off so the woman is stuck yoghurt!
ReplyDeleteI have given you an award:

Stuck in yoghurt I mean. Just look at how her hand is resting there on the top.
ReplyDeleteClearly a much better option.abl
ReplyDeleteBizarro! I was just lamenting last night that all this cold weather has really dried out my skin and I remembered that Cleopatra used to bathe in asses' milk! Thanks Corinne, I'm going to pinch the Avenno tip too! Much cheaper than buying twenty bottles of 2L milk for the bath!
ReplyDeleteI use Jurlique hand cream religiously at this time of year - my skin just sucks it up it is so dry.
