my cherie amour



I think of all the new habits I've created my fave could well be my weekend bike ride out to Nobby's breakwall. Look at that view!


It's not the just exercise I love (and I do love that bit) it's the views. The glorious, glorious views. So much blue in so many shades - in the sky and in the water. Not to mention the rather fabulous foliage pathside.


Sorry, did someone say blue?

French word of the day: bleu (bleuh) - blue.

    Which way do you ride from merewether to Newcastle beach/Nobbys? Just wondering what is the best way to ride in that area of Newie.

      Hello! I just ride around the flat streets, down Union Street and up Hunter till Merewether. Then I pootle past the museum, past the Forum, past The Landing and then ride along the foreshore till Nobbys. On the way home I'll usually ride a different way - through the back streets of Cooks Hill - or I'll ride along the foreshore the Wickham. Love it.
