the kindest cut
This week two of my daughter's best-friends did the most selfless thing. They did the shave for a cure and had their long hair shaved to help raise funds for the Leukemia Foundation.
They're 13-year-old girls.
I can't help but tear up every time I think about it. What a wonderful thing to do - and how magnificent of their parents to allow them to do it.

Kids these days huh?
Aren't they just wonderful?

Amazing isn't it? Some boys in my daughter's year also did the shave. Good on all those kids.
ReplyDeleteKids rule!
DeleteThat's fantastic. We hear so many news items about 'bad' kids and yet there are so many more youngsters out there that care about others and do what they can to help. A great cause as well. x
ReplyDeleteExactly Mimsie, we need to emphasise what's good don't we?
DeleteWell done to them. Boy Child (14) is getting his legs waxed a school as his contribution to the World's greatest shave.
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous! Good on him!
DeleteI love their spirit of sharing and giving. They will grow to be wonderful women. Kudos to the parents, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful all around isn't it Jeanne?
DeleteThey truly are, sometimes I think we just don't give kids enough credit.
