I seem to have accidentally become someone who accessorises with red. It wasn't my intention. But, before you know it, you have a couple of red handbags, a fave red pair of shoes that make every outfit pop, red sunglasses and THIS! A red vintage wool cape! This is an early birthday pressie, something I've been hankering for. And I love it. It's so RED. And capey!

ReplyDeleteThis has happened to me many times. A few years ago I found myself the proud owner of the most amazing deep emerald green vintage kangol beret. Only in Melbourne, same trip vintage velvet embroidered deep emerald green handbag. And then I realised I didn't really own much green, so I bought a few pieces to blend, then before you knew it I was the deep emerald green girl! It has happened with deep rose pink, turquoise, chocolate brown and I always go back to red and purple.
ReplyDeleteI think a chance purchase sends you that way, well, me anyway! I adore your red cape, red is a great and favourite colour, but it has to be the right shade of red, a deep blue-red for me. Orangey red washes me out!
