flowers for friday

You know what makes me happier than finding peonies at Coles? Nothing.

I bought these beauties the other day and they're still going strong. Love, love, LOVE!

  1. My Woolies has a mountain of $4 jonquils but no peonies. Sigh. And it just feels wrong to buy jonquils so early... x

  3. Oh how beautiful. They don't grow in Perth as I think the weather not suitable. I saw some in a botanic garden when in New Zealand years back and kept going back to admire them. MOH, who of course comes from the UK, said many people back there grow them in their gardens. Lilac unfortunately is another plant that will only grow in our lower south-west. Jonquils and daffodils grow here without a problem. There is a story about jonquils I may pop on my blog one day, just for the fun of it. Meantime, enjoy those beautiful flowers.

  4. Thanks Mimsie, yes, these came from a farm down south. Like you, I would LOVE to grow Lilac, I think I'd explode with joy if I had those beautiful flowers with that gorgeous scent in my garden.

I look forward to reading your jonquil story x

  6. I love the colour and the softness of them, most our Woolies has is lilies or gerbras at outrageous prices some times. Enjoy them over the weekend. xxx
