i presume...
I don't believe that I'll make it through this winter without a cape. Sure, there are obstacles in my path: I work from home and rarely have call for anything over a cardigan, plus I live in Newy where the temperature rarely drops below 15 degrees but still, I have a hankering.
I could totes fulfil all my Nancy Drew fantasies wearing a cape {sure, if you're going to be picky it's Sherlock Holmes who wore a cape and not Nancy, but still, she would if she could I'm sure}.
Mmmmm, capes.

Ooh Linda - I LOVE Nancy Drew and I LOVE a cape - in fact G&A will be getting some in shortly! Keep an eye out! Abientot x
ReplyDeleteSTOP IT! Really? How excitement! Will there be a red one? I am seriously willing to put up with any and all Little Red Riding Hood jokes just for a red cape.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I have been a little put off capes since watching 'The Incredibles'but the Nancy Drew fantasies could be fun...
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous looking cape. Not sure if I'm down with the cape for myself... it would get in the way when I'm trying to wrangle Mr2 in and out of the car, or anywhere else for that matter. Please make sure you share if you do end up buying one xo
ReplyDeleteI think I had that very cape when I was 14 - wore it with my Bogarts!
ReplyDeleteI picked up two red capes from Centenary Antiques last year for my girls - one was a nurses cape.
Myself, I have a red one with a hood I bought last year in Blackheath made of some sort of light wooly/cottony fabric, just perfect for wrapping oneself up when the cardi isn't quite enough - and I, also, don't mind the references to Red Riding Hood - sweet.
I have been eyeing off a cape for a while, but haven't yet made the purchase, trying to find the perfect one that is warm enough and sturdy enough for wrangling 4 kids.
ReplyDeleteThis is EXACTLY the reason I moved from Newy to Canberra, just so I could wear capes and fabulous hats and gloves... ohhh gloves. Ok, slight exaggeration but it's just so cold here that capes etc aren't just desirable, they are completely necessary (in my house and in my mind anyway! LOL)
