Browsing Pinterest this morning I saw this fabulous idea - storing sheet sets inside their pillow cases - genius! It's an idea I've heard before, but seeing it in action has inspired me to enter my black hole linen closet and do this.
The blog this originated on has some other fab ideas too. Go
here to check it out. This daft scott's lass isn't so daft - love her work!
Such a simple, brilliant idea! My linen cupboard always looks so dishevelled because of the sheets - and now I know how to fix it. Thanks for sharing! You've made my day!
ReplyDeleteGlad to be of service Jacki - hope you can manage to do it more neatly than I did (didn't use a table for the folding of a fitted sheet and I never iron them!)
DeleteI'm so doing that.......maybe just not right now......but definately soon
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea isn't it?
DeleteThat is such a great idea. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure x
DeleteOh thanks for sharing that pic, had heard of this idea too, looks great...too tired to tackle the linen cupboard now, have just finished in Teenage Girls room whilst she isnt home...OMG :0
ReplyDeleteOh Jen, that sounds like quite the task - glad you've finished it. And yes, hearing of the idea's one thing - but seeing it executed is rather inspirational.
DeleteHonestly, who would ever think of such a thing? Brilliant. Pinning now so I don't forget.
ReplyDeleteProbably someone like Martha - some genius.
DeleteLOL!I showed the other half and she is madly stuffing pillow cases with matching sheets as I type this. Not quite as neatly as the pics posted, but it certainly works!!
DeleteOh bless! She's a good one that other half of yours.
ReplyDeleteOh genius, indeed! I love this idea. This would work particularly well with my limited storage space, as it will keep everything so much more compact. Thanks for sharing PPMJ :o) xo
ReplyDeleteI am in love with it. Planning on rewashing and folding more neatly one day - but it does take up less space. And so EASY to grab a set when I have to make up a spare set - all there. And, on the plus side, found about 16 excess pillowcases to donate to salvos...
DeleteI'm definintely NO fucking Martha, but I try.
ReplyDeleteThanx a bunch for the shout out, babe. ♥♥♥♥
A titian-haired swearing Martha - even better!
DeleteI learned this tip a few years ago along with how to fold fitted sheets - what a difference it's made! It was an ex-Blue Peter presenter who passed on the knowledge, you can watch her on youtube - Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife!
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow, my no2 boy starts at Lambton High tomorrow and my daughter is moving on up to New Lambton Public from the Infants School - what a day!

Oh, I watched one episode of Perfect Housewife, it was so awesome I had to ban myself from it so I didn't become obsessed!
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow with your boy and your girl - goodness, that's two milestones for both of them!
I am so glad I went back through your posts!! What a brilliant idea! I am always fishing around for the matching bedsheets and in a fluster always end up with a pile of linen on the floor! I'm doing this tomorrow and chucking out the rest!
ReplyDeleteSee if you can beat my record of 16 excess pillowcases!
DeleteHi, I’ve been a lurker around your blog for a few months. I love this article and your entire site! Looking forward to reading more!
